Locum West was founded in 2019 when Dr Dhanvee Kandadai set out to help junior doctors find flexibility, financial security, and accelerated learning within the WA Health system.

Having worked across five WA Health Services himself — and personally introducing over 50 doctors to locum life — Dhanvee built Locum West on a simple belief: the best person to support a locum doctor is a doctor who's lived it.

We guide you through everything: resume with 2 referees, 100 pts ID, immunisation questionnaire, job preferences form, indemnity insurance, and police clearance.

Yes — current and full registration with AHPRA is required for all locum positions.
Do I need indemnity insurance?

Yes. Commonly used WA insurers include MDA National, Avant, MIPS and TEGO. (We have no affiliation with any of these.)
Is there any cost to signing up?
